Frequently Asked Questions

(and content warnings)

What is the spice level of The Tindoria Chronicles?

Like, a 0-1. There’s hardly any physical touch, zero lustful thoughts, and nothing goes beyond sweet kisses. My books only have clean, subplot romances.

Is there any profanity in The Tindoria Chronicles?

Nope—crap and pissed are the strongest words you’ll find.

What’s the violence level in The Tindoria Chronicles?

I aim for a PG-13 level. Poison is used for torture on young prisoners, people get stabbed, descriptions of wounds and blood, character deaths, physical combat, battle descriptions. In Spire of Tavnir there is one chapter focusing on the undead which contains some gore. Violence gets heavier as the trilogy goes on as the plot gets more grim (right before a HEA, of course!) but nothing overly unnecessary or grotesque.

Is there any witchcraft or black magic?

There is “dark magic” used by the villain(s) but it’s very ambiguous; it just does what it does without any explicit spells, symbols, tools, or ancient language. Like, wave a hand and something happens. That’s it!

Is there any LGBT+ representation?

As a Christian author…never.

How long are the books?

  • Prisoners of Thornbrill is 71,803 words and 350 pages

  • Spire of Tavnir is 80,937 words and 380 pages

  • Shadows of Phoenix has yet to be edited, formatted, and published but is currently sitting at around 97,848 words.

What are the books’ trim size?

The Tindoria Chronicles are published in 8.5” x 5.5” for both paperback and hardcover.

Will there be any more books set in Tindoria?

The Tindoria Chronicles is a trilogy, that is set for sure. However, ideas have been brewing for a spinoff series plus a novella or two. But that’s a long ways off—I want to revisit a high school project (a stand-alone) that will take us to the dystopian sci-fi genre!
